New Year is making an exciting move to all the lovely persons who want to welcome this New Year with warm feelings and pleasant surprises; and if that includes an exciting trip to India, the joy of celebrating New Year just gets doubled.
This year, the reasons for celebrating this Eve can be more impressive with increasing amount of rush at two major Indian destinations namely The Pink City-Jaipur and Agra- the city of Taj Mahal. These two destinations have gained tremendous popularity since many years but this year both the cities are getting a move on at greater extent, a survey released by Assocham’s Social Development Foundation.
The secretary general of Assocham Group, Mr. D S Rawat accounted that the majority of Delhiites plan to take a shorter holiday trip nearer to their home and likely to reduce their budget by 40% than last year due to inflation. He further exclaimed that nearly 62% of the respondents have planned to go on a vacation to destinations in or around Delhi, like Jaipur, Agra, Shimla, Nanital, Kasauli and more. And more interestingly, around 82% of the respondents have set Jaipur, Rajasthan as their first priority which is then followed by Agra. Consequently, Shimla and Nainital have attained the third and fourth respectively in their touring list.
Further, the report also revealed that around 2,500 executives were included in the survey of which 55% of them falls under the age bracket of 20-29 years, followed by 30-39 years (26%), 40-49 years (16%), 50-59 years (2%) and 60-69 years (approx. 1%).
For luxury holidays destinations, around 15% of respondents have set their schedule for the trips to Goa, Kerala, Andaman & Nicobar and Rajasthan and the respondents include the honeymooners and the enthusiastic nature lovers.
The last years’ survey also revealed that over 5 to 6 lakh tourists made their way towards different Indian tourist destinations including Jaipur, Udaipur, Mussoorie, Nanital, Shimla, Kashmir valley, Goa, Mysore and Trivanantpuram and Kullu-Manali Hill Station to celebrate their holidays during Christmas and New Year’s Eve. Mussoorie and Nainital hill stations have always been the priority for the enthusiastic travelers since the destinations have allowed attaining two major objectives- sightseeing and religious tourism – as both Haridwar and Rishikesh are nearer to Mussoorie. Along with that Nanda Devi is also closer to the Nainital Hill Station.
Thus, it is honorable to express that India is a fast growing country in terms of tourism and holiday destinations especially during festive seasons where Jaipur is the crown of all the destinations.
