Leh-Alchi- distance between these two destinations is 64 km. The village of Alchi is the home to one of the oldest monasteries in Ladakh, the Alchi Monastery.
Leh-Hemis- by covering the distance of 45 km you can witness the breathtaking view of the magnificent Gompas at Thiksey, Shey and Stok. The cycle tour follows the bank of the Indus River until Karu and by crossing a bridge one can reach to village Hemis.

The other mountain biking routes in Ladakh are the Jispa-Gondla route, the Marhi-Manali route etc.

The best time to ride around this astonishing valley would be when the weather is just perfect without any snow. The duration between mid of June to the end of September is considered ideal for biking in Ladakh.
